Our New York office specializes in assisting and advising foreign companies that invest in the US.

We cover the following areas:

  • corporate law: we provide legal advice on all aspects of a company’s law, from its formation to its development and growth;
  • contracts: we provide assistance with direct sales from abroad to the US, setting up sales networks in the US, negotiating and drafting all kinds of commercial agreements, mergers and acquisitions of companies, intellectual property licenses, supply and franchising agreements;
  • real estate: we routinely negotiate and draft contracts for the lease or sale and purchase of properties and the related financing agreements;
  • labor and immigration: we negotiate and draft employment agreements and obtain visas for foreign investors and employees. Our New York office specializes in representing senior management of foreign companies investing in the US who are seeking an investment visa and companies aiming to obtain work visas for their employees in the US. We work regularly with our Milan office to assist and advise companies investing in countries subject to commercial restrictions and economic sanctions on compliance issues.
  • export control and international economic sanctions: we provide support and advice on export control law and international economic sanctions. We have developed a specific expertise in conducting trade-focused risk assessments, in helping clients design and implement tailored, risk-based compliance programs, and in providing practical, day-to-day advice on economic sanctions and export controls issues. We assist companies interacting with US federal agencies that oversee trade policy, including the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). In particular, we have extensive experience in supporting corporate groups with manufacturing and/or distribution centers in Italy and in the United States.

We also represent clients in litigation, particularly in international commercial law and intellectual property. Our attorneys are fluent in Italian and French and are also admitted to the bar in Canada and in Italy.

Our New York office works closely with Canadian law firms to represent companies that do business in Canada.
